"My weight loss journey has been a long one. In 2006, at my heaviest, I weighed 210 pounds. After having my son, I realized that I needed to make positive, healthy changes in my life so that I could set a better example for him. So I started running, which quickly turned from just an exercise to a full-on obsession. I started racing, entering my first half marathon in 2009 and my first full marathon in 2010. Through a combination of exercise and eating right, I lost almost 70 pounds. Though I had success on my own, I realized I needed that extra push to get in shape the way I wanted to be. I lacked discipline in my diet and was bored with my usual routine. Rick gave me the structure and accountability I needed to keep on track and to motivate me to train harder. Since coming to Burn Personal Training, I’ve lost an additional 12 pounds (and counting!) The last leg of my weight loss journey has been the hardest, and I owe Rick a huge amount of credit for getting me here! Despite losing all the weight, I still struggle daily to eat right and exercise, but with the structure and support that Rick can provide, I believe that anyone can be successful. Weight loss is a learning process. You've just got to remember that each setback you encounter makes you stronger!"
