Tabata Training

Tabata is a form of High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) that follows a 20 seconds on and 10 seconds off format. The 20 seconds of exercise is executed with an all out effort which is then followed by a brief 10 second recovery. The intervals are repeated for 8 rounds (4 minutes total) as 1 set. Participants will use a variety of equipment including: ropes, kettlebells, sandbags, dumbbells, cardio machines and even just body weight alone.

Training like this has been shown to improve both the anaerobic and aerobic energy systems. People have successfully lost weight, stripped fat, and built lean muscle in a shorter period of time using this concept. So, give this fun HIIT a try! You gotta Tabata!
